Reading Specialist

The purpose of the Reading Specialist program is to prepare literacy leaders who can diagnose reading difficulties, implement targeted interventions, support PK-12 teachers in effective literacy instruction, and guide school-wide reading programs. Emphasizing scientific reading research, assessment literacy, and a biblical commitment to serving all learners, candidates are equipped to promote language development, reading comprehension, and lifelong literacy.
