The major in Mathematics is not specifically focused toward a particular vocational future but instead is aimed at providing strong mathematical foundations for work in a variety of fields, including math teaching and math education, actuarial science, statistics, information systems, and business, industry and government operations. The curriculum also provides excellent preparation for graduate study in fields that require quantitative and/or analytical skills.
