Job Description

Minuteman Security Solutions LLC supports the U.S. Army Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection System (ICIDS), which helps detect and assess unauthorized entry into protected facilities. ICIDS work can include intrusion sensors, field controllers, communications, alarm monitoring equipment, and DAQ Electronics StarWatch Security Management System (SMS) software. Access control and video interfaces are included only where installed and assigned.

The position supports ICIDS head-end computers, StarWatch software, databases, communications, and integration with installed field equipment. The role is designed for skill development rather than a fixed experience threshold. Prior professional ICIDS experience is helpful but is not required for general hiring. Candidates with foundational skills, trade coursework, military technical training, or related practical experience are encouraged to apply. Duties begin under qualified supervision and expand as training, demonstrated proficiency, and assignment requirements permit.

Qualifications

  • • High school diploma or equivalent. A college degree is not required for general hiring.
  • • Basic computer familiarity, or willingness to build those skills, and an interest in security applications, networking, or technical integration. Professional server administration or prior ICIDS experience is not required for general hiring.
  • • Ability to follow installation instructions, document settings and test results, and learn structured troubleshooting.
  • • Willingness to learn IP networking, databases, system backups, permissions, and ICIDS head-end operation through supervised work.
  • • Dependability, attention to detail, clear communication, and willingness to learn and follow approved technical and safety procedures.
  • • Meet applicable customer background-screening, badging, and site-access requirements. Maintain a valid driver’s license when driving is required for the assignment.
  • • Willingness to complete assigned ICIDS, manufacturer, safety, and security training. Existing DAQ or ICIDS certifications are preferred, not general application prerequisites; manufacturer and contract credentials must be verified before installation, administration, or service that requires them.

Eligibility to Work

Certain assignments may require the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, potentially at the SECRET level, and complete required security training. An active clearance is not required at application unless specified for the assignment. Clearance eligibility and approval are determined by the Government. Citizenship and other eligibility requirements apply when required for the clearance or assignment. Follow customer and MMSS requirements for proprietary information, controlled unclassified information, and classified information when authorized. Use approved systems and reporting channels; protect credentials and report suspected security incidents promptly.
